Now TED Talks Can Be Translated to Any Language

I've mentioned about TED on my previous post. At that time, the translation project was more of a closed collaboration group. But now, TED made this opportunity available to anyone who can help.

Now TED.com has nearly 500 talks on their site. And nearly all of them has their transcripts. So It's the volunteers duty to translate them to their own language.

Since the videos posted there make a great deal of impact on the way we think, we should wish that for everyone around us to make our life and the world a better place.

So what I want from you is this;

1) If you don't speak English, watch the videos that are translated to your own language http://www.ted.com/index.php/translate/languages and support them. (of course this condition will never work for you, since you are able to read this post. So for you, this condition is "encourage people around you to watch videos on their own languages")

2) If you do speak English, read the instructions on http://www.ted.com/translate/forted and request to contribute to the project. (You will be asked to sign up on Dotsub.com and Ted.com)

3) If you have a subtitle translator friend around you, encourage them to translate at least one or two videos.

If you have a question in mind, you can contact me from hecatomber[at]gmail.com as e-mail or gtalk.

What I want is to make more and more people around me to watch these videos. Because I'm pleased with the impact it made, and I want the same for the people around me.
